DECEMBER 2020 -- My Christmas Wish for You

MY CHRISTMAS WISH FOR YOU

My Christmas wish for you this year

      Exchanges doubts for hope

Rejects divides too broad to span

      Resets disrupted dreams and

Yearns to quell all worry and all fear.

      Calls back failed courage

      Heals a wounded soul

      Restores faith to full strength

It banishes all shades of gray

Shines bright on what could be

      There’s just one thing

My Christmas wish . . . well, it depends on you

      Adjusting, tweaking, ‘til you see

      Silver threads beyond the muck.

NOVEMBER 2020 -- A Revolutionary Acrostic

Oops, had a November post but forgot to upload it. Senior brain. Or turkey coma.

                         THANKSGIVING TAKE-OUT

      Take-out for Thanksgiving!

      Use this as your cry.

      Rally to a revolution,

Kindly spare my life, I plead.

Encourage eating tacos or maybe order pizza . . .

Your choice means my life to me.

OCTOBER 2020 -- Halloween in Covid Time

publicdomainq.net

There was a time,

As darkness fell

And an orange moon rose,

That miniature goblins filled the streets.

Creeping from house to house,

Banging on doors,

Demanding treats.

Now they visit well-spaced trunks

Or neighbors using grabber arms

That drop wrapped candies

Into distanced bags.

Halloween in Covid time.
