Tender sweet corn . . .
What folks bring varies.
Beans and cole slaw,
Dill pickle spears,
Sliced tomatoes . . .
Condiments go here.
Crisp green lettuce,
Burger with cheese,
Roasted hot dogs . . .
Pass the mustard, please.
Mom’s apple pie,
Sodas on ice,
Eat ‘til you’re full . . .
Then a nap sounds nice.
