Four old birds sitting on a wire,
Watching the world pass by.
They chirp and they chitter,
They tweet and they twitter:
What are those humans doing now?
They’re all hustle and hurry,
Then they scramble and scurry , , ,
They’ve nothing but speed on their minds.
If they’d try out the slow lane,
They’d see there’s joy in the mundane.
The wisdom of old birds on a wire.
