DESTINY’S PORTAL

 Some consider the heart

A pumping machine

That keeps our life force flowing

But I . . . 

I see it as destiny’s portal

Offering our choice of potentials

Love is the key

And love stems from the heart

Growing our wants and our needs

These set our course

Determine our direction

Lead us down the byways of life

There will come twists and turns

Bumps and potholes

And even a few detours

But our journey will not falter

We will find our best path

If we stay always true to our heart
